What is Grey Rose?

Founder Jair Bolden discusses some of the motivations and goals of the foundation

Changing the world through basketball

Helping those in need through basketball. Using the game as a tool to engage with the youth and disenfranchised communities.

Grey Rose Foundation was founded in 2021 by NCAA Division 1 basketball athlete Jair Bolden and is dedicated to using the game of basketball as a tool to engage with youth and disenfranchised communities.

Our Kickoff Project: Rita D’Almeida Courts

The Rita D’Almeida basketball courts were built by Zimbabwe leaders John and Rita D’Almeida, the great grandparents of Grey Rose founder Jair Bolden. These basketball courts were home to leagues, tournaments, and served as a center of fun and recreation in the community. However, economic hardships in Zimbabwe have left the courts in need of repair and no longer usable. Grey Rose foundation has committed to raise the $12,000 needed to restore the courts and provide the necessary equipment.

Help us use the beautiful game of basketball to inspire and revive the heart of a community.
